Senior Project
Manager
Waiward Construction Management Inc. has an
immediate opening for an for a Senior Project Manager in our Edmonton office.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience as a
Project Manager for Municipal Earthworks.
The candidate will also have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
• A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited technical
institute or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, calculations and drawings from
preliminary concepts and sketches to approved drawings for municipal
infrastructure projects such as roads, sanitary
and water servicing and land development.
• Experience with estimating software such as
Bid2win, field data software such as Build2win and experience with project
scheduling tools such as MS Project.
• Experience with AutoCAD, and experience with LDD/Civil 3D (earthwork
volume calculations) will be an asset.
• The candidate will demonstrate mature judgment, a positive team attitude
and will have a high regard for customer service.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Committed to ongoing personal and professional development.

Intermediate Civil Technologist
Waiward Construction Management Inc. has an immediate opening for an
Intermediate Civil Technologist in our Edmonton office.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years experience as a
civil engineering technologist and will be a member, or actively pursuing
membership, with ASET.
The candidate will also have the following skills, experience and
qualifications:
• A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited technical
institute or equivalent experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, calculations and drawings from
preliminary concepts and sketches to approved drawings for municipal
infrastructure projects such as roads, sanitary
and water servicing and land development.
• Conduct and supervise field surveys including topographic, engineering
and construction surveys. Some office computations and data processing will
be required.
• Inspections or technical investigations of topography, soils, drainage
and water supply systems, road and highway systems, buildings and
structures to provide quantity data for construction projects.
• Experienced with AutoCAD, and experience with LDD/Civil 3D (earthwork
volume calculations) will be an asset.
• The candidate will demonstrate mature judgement, a positive team attitude
and will have a high regard for customer service.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
