Safety and loss management has always been a key component to Waiward Construction business and we are committed to working safely and improving safety and loss control measures whenever possible. In keeping with this commitment, a formal safety program has been in effect since May 1991. Since that time the company has provided its employees with formal training in both safe job procedures and safe work practices.

• Construction Safety Training System (C.S.T.S)
• WHMIS Training - The Trainer
• TDG Training - The Trainer
• Flag person Training - The Trainer
• Confined Space Awareness
• Trenching & Excavations
In addition, the majority of our field staff has been trained in New Hire Orientations, First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, Confined Space Entry, Safe Trenching and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.

Safety Policy
Waiward CMI is committed to a strong safety program that protects its staff, its property and the public form accidents.

Employees at every level, including management, are responsible and accountable for the company's overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, everyday, in every task is necessary for the safety excellence the company expects. Management supports the coordination of safety among all workers on the job site. Management supports participation in the program by all employees and provides proper equipment, training and procedure. Employees are responsible for all procedures, working safely and wherever possible improving safety measures.

An injury and accident free workplace is our goal. Through continuous safety and loss control effort, we can accomplish this.
